ExpressLINK Carrier Network - G.I. Trucking Company

GI Trucking Company Truck

After serving their country in World War II, two veterans returned home and founded a tiny less-than-truckload motor carrier operation. They named that company G. I. Trucking, a name that resonated in the minds of millions of Americans.
With just two trucks and a single terminal, they began serving the needs of shippers and receivers in the Los Angeles basin. Their philosophy was simple - to provide their customers with top-quality, competitively-priced transportation services that were absolutely reliable.

Times changed, and so did market conditions. But G.I. Trucking rose to the challenge of that change by evolving and adapting. With an eye to the future it provided its customers with new services and constantly improving performance. These efforts were rewarded with financial stability and steady growth, and have earned them a membership role in the ExpressLINK system.

Today G.I. serves 9 Western and Rocky Mountain States, as well as Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. It has a network of 47 terminals, employs more than 1,200 people, and operates a modern fleet of 2,000 tractors and trailers.

Although change has been a constant for G.I., one important thing hasn't changed at all - the company's commitment to the principles of quality customer service, laid down more than fifty years ago by its founders.
